Since then, they have been taking steps to implement changes to act on the issues of climate crisis, mitigation and adaptation which the Declaration seeks to address. What has been accomplished? National Recycling Week 7-13 November

To mark National Recycling Week during 7-13 November, WAM will be planning a series of community activities, including:

Mon 7th Nov – Morag Gamble ‘Zerio Waste Gardening and One Planet Living’ Workshop, Verandah Room, Maleny Community Centre

Tues 8th Nov – Community Forum ‘Climate Emergency Declaration: One Year On, Where to From Here?’, Maleny Community Centre

The Rangebow Festival

The Rangebow Festival is a celebration of diversity, community, reconciliation, sustainability, inclusion, expression and creativity. As part of the Rangebow Festival, WAM will have an information stall at the Sustainability Fair, Sat 13 August on The Village Green Montville (where the Markets are held), from 8:00am-12:00pm. Stop by, say hello and find out more about how to recycle right and what we’re up to.

Sustainable Futures Expo

WAM has been invited to participate in the Maleny Commerce Sustainable Futures Expo to be held Saturday October 8th at the Maleny Showgrounds.

We plan to have an information stall and a workshop on recycling right.
